I just got my cat before Christmas. My husband talked me into getting him (we share a birthday). We have dogs but our cat Charlie rules the roost. I think he has a split personality though, he will hiss at the dogs one minute but then try rubbing up against them the next. I think he is psyching them out because when he comes near them the dogs are not sure what to think. LOL! I am alergic to my cat but I gave it some time and the alergies have subsided a bit. If he licks me though, I get very itchty. We have to kick him out of our bedroom though because every morning he literally gets in our faces trying to snuggle. He is a good boy though. He was already neutered and front declawed when we got him. He is 1 year old.
